The Hotel Villa Liberty is located on Viale
Michelangelo at number 40,
adjacent to Piazza Michelangelo. The surrounding
area is tranquil and unobtrusive. It is the perfect location
for guests who wish quick and easy access into the heart of
Florence but prefer residing in a guest house apart from the
hustle and bustle of the historic city centre, which was declared
as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982
and attracts millions of tourists every year.
The surrounding area is not short of restaurants, authentic
trattorie and bars offering authentic
Italian cuisine and local specialties. Piazza Michelangelo,
one of the most famous observation points in Florence, is
located extremely close to the hotel. Piazza Michelangelo
was built in 1865 on a hill just south of the city centre
and is dedicated to the great Renaissance artist Michelangelo.

al Monte (the Basilica of St Minias on the Mountain)
which is 800 metres from the hotel. The basilica stands on
the peak of one of the highest points of Florence, providing
breathtaking panoramas of the city. The church is considered
as one of the most beautiful in Italy and the finest example
of Romanesque architecture in Tuscany.
